  • No. You do not need a referral from your doctor to attend counselling sessions.

  • I highly recommend starting with six initial sessions, scheduled weekly, this will give us the time to dive deeper into your circumstances, and instil a sense of commitment and well-being. However, I understand that everyone's journey is unique, and you have the flexibility to adjust the number and frequency of sessions based on your specific needs. Typically, clients find benefit in regular sessions for a minimum of two to three months.

  • While services by counsellors are not covered by Medicare you will find that the out-of-pocket expenses you still need to pay to see a psychologist will be about the same as what you pay for your counselling session.

  • You can change or cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before your appointment time. For appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a 50% of refunds will be provided. There are no refunds if you do not show up for your appointment/session.

  • Therapy sessions are confidential in almost every instance.

    Cases when confidentiality can be breached:

    • If I consider you to be at risk of seriously harming yourself or someone else

    • If your counselling records have been requested by a court of law

    • If another party or agency has requested your information, and you have agreed and provided your written consent to this.

  • You can pay your appointment via Paypal and through debit or credit card transfer. I will provide my details privately.
