DEPRESSION
Depression is a mood disorder characterized by enduring feelings of sadness and diminished interest in once enjoyable activities. Additionally, it can impact cognitive functions, such as thinking and memory, and disrupt basic activities like eating and sleeping.
Depression can show up in different ways. Some common types include:
Major Depressive Disorder (MDD): Persistent sadness and loss of interest in things you once enjoyed.
Persistent Depressive Disorder (Dysthymia): Long-lasting, with less severe symptoms but persisting for at least two years.
Bipolar Disorder: Switches between depression and periods of high energy (mania or hypomania).

Because different types of depression might overlap, I will use Talk therapy to understand the type of depression, then move into Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to change the maladaptive behaviour and work with Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to improve the relationship with others to create a strong network support system for relapses. I will also give you tailored exercises of mindfulness to learn how to live in the present moment and start to enjoy little things in life.
